Intention to remember is one of Laura Stasiulyte's early video works, in which she films herself behind a kitchen table, singing popular Lithuanian songs, she remembers by heart.

 

The songs heard in the video were created for singing together and were common in family festivities in 90's Lithuania. The number and length of the songs as well as the pauses between them depend on Laura's memory, while the length of the piece is set by the duration of the VHS tape.
